Should Buyers Wait for Interest Rates to Drop?

May 19, 20261 min read

A lot of buyers are stuck in “wait and see” mode right now because of interest rates.

And honestly, I understand it.

The challenge is nobody really knows exactly what rates are going to do next. Waiting could help, but it could also mean more competition if more buyers jump back into the market at the same time.

Right now, buyers have something they haven’t had in years: leverage.

That can mean negotiating closing costs, repairs, or even rate buydowns that help offset the monthly payment.

For many people, it comes down to whether the home and the timing make sense for their life right now, not just what rates might do later.

If you want a bigger picture of how this fits into the overall East Valley market, I break it all down in my full guide here.

If you’re starting to look and want to talk through what this could look like for you, I’m always happy to walk you through it.
